A SOAS Chinese Studies graduate, he is the only foreign expert ever appointed at Director level within the Chinese government. Since 2019, as International Executive Representative for Invest Guangzhou and Chief Advisor to Guangzhou Huangpu District — a core engine of the Greater Bay Area — he has built deep trust with senior officials and driven global investment attraction, innovation policy, and high-value FDI in biomedicine, new energy, advanced manufacturing, and high-tech sectors.
